Which models benefit the most

  • The largest absolute savings are on bigger SUVs / premium models (e.g. Tucson) because they had higher taxes or cesses that got reduced or removed.
  • Mid-size SUVs (Venue, Creta) and premium hatchbacks (i20 N-Line) also benefit significantly.
  • Entry-level trims benefit less in absolute rupee amount, but still see meaningful reductions.

Buyer’s perspective

  • The reduced ex-showroom prices will help lower on-road cost (registration, insurance) somewhat.
  • Buyers can expect lower EMIs due to lower principal costs.
  • Festive season timing makes this a good opportunity to buy.
  • However, note that dealership pricing, variant premiums, and state-wise taxes may affect the final cost.

Things to watch out for

  • Variant-wise savings differ a lot depending on engine, transmission, features.
  • On-road price (after registration, insurance etc.) will still vary by city / state.
  • Some older stock may still carry old pricing until cleared out by dealers.

Hyundai has revised its prices across its model range in response to the new GST rate changes. Savings go up to about ₹2.4 lakh in some models, especially in larger premium vehicles. Mid-SUVs and premium hatchbacks also see solid benefits. For those planning to upgrade or buy a Hyundai, this GST revision brings real value and makes many models more accessible.
