Strong performances: Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi are outstanding in their roles, bringing back the charm and humour that made the initial films so successful. Their humour, timing and courtroom antics keep the audience engaged throughout the entire time.
Sharp writing: the discussions are packed with sarcasm, wit, and short, humorous phrases that make you laugh and think about the bigger problems in the system.
Social relevance: Like the films that came before it, this one doesn’t shy away from talking about real problems. It makes sure that there is more than just humour by pointing out flaws in the judicial system and how people take advantage of loopholes.
Strong supporting cast: Actors like Saurabh Shukla return to their roles, and their experienced performances add depth and balance to the story.
What Doesn’t Work
Predictability: The story sometimes feels like it follows a set pattern, with beats that are similar to those in previous installments. There aren’t many surprises, and people who have seen the show before may see the twists coming long before they happen.
Problems with pacing: Some subplots make the movie feel longer than it is. The movie could have been even better with a tighter edit.
Finding a balance between funny and serious: The franchise’s strength is its humour, but sometimes it makes the serious social issues less important.
The decision
Jolly LLB 3 is an excellent sequel of the franchise. It’s a legal thriller that is both fun and thought-provoking. It does well because of its funny acting, sharp conversation, and timely comments on how justice works in India. Even if it doesn’t have the same freshness to be the first one, it’s still an excellent legal satire which is both funny and stimulating. If you like courtroom comedies and social dramas, you should see this movie.
Verdict: 3.5 out of 5
