Prabhas’ The Raja Saab arrives on OTT as an extended cut — streaming on JioHotstar from 6 February 2026, bringing extra footage not seen in cinemas. The digital premiere follows a mixed theatrical run and is meant to give fans the “fuller” version of the fantasy–horror comedy.

What is The Raja Saab?

The Raja Saab is a Telugu-language fantasy horror-comedy featuring Prabhas in the lead and directed by Maruthi. The film released theatrically on 9 January 2026 and was widely covered across Indian entertainment outlets for its star power and genre mix. Critical response was lukewarm to negative, with reviewers pointing to weak scripting despite Prabhas’ performance.

The OTT move — facts to know

• Platform & date: The film’s post-theatrical streaming rights were sold to JioHotstar and the movie began streaming on 6 February 2026.

• What’s different: JioHotstar is streaming an extended cut containing additional footage that didn’t appear in cinemas — reportedly including at least one previously unseen sequence featuring the lead. The extended version is being pitched as a “director’s/extended” experience for fans who want more context or deleted scenes.
• OTT rights value (reported): Trade coverage indicated a high-value OTT deal (widely reported in industry outlets). This underscores the film’s commercial worth in the digital window despite theatrical reviews.

Why the OTT release matters (analysis)

1. Accessibility for pan-India and global fans. OTT makes dubbed and subtitled versions quickly available to audiences who missed the theatrical run or live outside theatrical distribution windows.
2. Extended cut can change perception. Additional scenes may clarify plot threads criticized by reviewers; sometimes OTT “extended editions” soft-patch pacing or motivation problems. Expect small but meaningful differences rather than a full re-write.
3. Commercial lifeline. Strong digital viewership can offset theatrical underperformance—platform viewership numbers and heat on social media often define a film’s longer-term reputation. Industry reports show platforms preparing for traffic surges when big stars premiere on OTT.

How to watch Raja Saab on OTT (practical guide)

• Where: Watch on JioHotstar (availability confirmed for the Indian market).
• Languages: Streaming includes the original Telugu and dubbed versions (Hindi/Tamil/Kannada/Malayalam) as reported by industry summaries.
• Subscription note: If you don’t have a JioHotstar subscription, check the platform’s plans — big theatrical-to-OTT premieres are sometimes gated behind paid tiers or premium purchases. (Platform policies vary by release.)

What critics said (brief)

Reviews at theatrical release were largely mixed-to-negative; critics praised the lead’s screen presence but criticized the script and coherence. The OTT extended cut offers a second look, but expectations should be tempered: extended footage may help but is unlikely to transform core story issues.
